The Laboratory of Socio-environmental Processes Studies and Collective Production of Health [LAMSA] is research group that nuclei in the Science Nursing area and is been coordinated for Professor Marta Regina Cezar Vaz. The LAMSA is structured from one socio-environmental vision of human health by creating an interface between works, health and environmental by dialectical syllogism addressed to the collective production health. The laboratory proposes the development of conceptions categories to the definition of themes that could be deployed on operational activities of education, research and practice into the field of Collective Health, at the core of the Public Health Nursing; to address the ecological, biological, psychological, sociological, cultural and historical background of human collectives of work. It is an interdisciplinary groups that historically has been built since 1996, emerged as part of the study of socio-historical process of social production of health, which incorporated over time, other professionals interested in socio-environmental vision health. The laboratory is linked to the production of knowledge of the Postgraduate Program in Nursing and Postgraduate Program in Environmental Education. Among the themes of interesting to the group are: the collective production of ecosystem health, practices, knowledge and public policy in the relationship between health, labor and environmental; work process in health, production workers’ health, management of work and organized groups of workers in different communities. There are six lines of research pursued: environmental education non-formal and informal; organization work of nursing/health; occupational health; labor, health and environmental and technologies of nursing/health for individuals and social groups.

Among the sub-projects implemented by the research group mentions are occupational health: risks and harms of the work environment ofgas stations; Clinical nursing and occupational health: a study of port workers in South Brazil; The health risks of workers active in the fertilizer industry; Negotiation and dialogue on the desktop port: a hermeneutic study of the position of the meanings of health; Perception of occupational risk of small farmers: an intervention process with the team of EMATER Uruguaiana/RS; Interfaces in the production of health care and environment on the Ilha dos Marinheiros, Rio Grande do Sul; Risk perception and the formation process: evaluation of intervention with learners solder School of the southern Brazil; Work and musculo skeletal disorders: a study with mechanical milking workers in southern Rio Grande do Sul. Therefore, the LAMSA aims to strengthen the conditions of handling theoretical, methodological and about the differentwork environments, some of whom are shown in the attached photo.
