The Group of Engineering and Industrial Process Optimization is led by Professors Gustavo Mendes Platt and Juliana da Silveira Espindola. He is currently developing theoretical-computational and experimental research in the area of Process Engineering. The following stand out: a) the development of numerical-computational tools for solving optimization problems; b) process synthesis through optimization; c) development of sensors and control strategies; and d) development, intensification and integration of processes. The objective is to obtain more efficient, less polluting, safer and more sustainable processes, both in the design and operation of the same.
